Best Practices in Implementation of Technology Change in the K-12 Context
Special Issue
This is a study of a specific school board’s experience with the transformation to 21st century learning and teaching via technology implementations at the school level. The study looks at successful technology implementations by analyzing interview data from school board administrators and superintendents involved in several effective school implementations. In essence, what practices and underlying philosophies are adopted by school board leadership and school administrators in the successful technology implementations in K-12 schools? The paper builds upon United States based research by examining excellence in technology implementations in schools in Canada. The implications for practice are applicable to all education organizations to create awareness of factors needed for school level change to occur.

The article describes methods of studying the limits of sequences and theorems of the limits of the sequences. Aspects of studying the limits of the sequence, an offered roll-out of "Limit of the sequence" theme and the study of the basic theorems on the limits of sum, product and quotient of two sequences have been developed. Portfolio in the Quality Assurance System of Training of Future Teachers in Hungary
Special Issue
State certification of education students in Hungary is held in the form of a comprehensive state examination. One of the effective tools used in the certification of future teachers in Hungary is the portfolio. The portfolio consists of two parts: documents and an essay. In the abstract a future teacher analyses the level of their own professional growth. Portfolio must convincingly prove the ability of the education student to perform functional duties of teachers, teach, assess the impact of the study, analyse the development of students and the effectiveness of the educational process, to use professional literature, plan and organize their own teaching career. The Hungarian experience of including portfolio into the structure of traineeship and state certification of the education students suggests that the portfolio is an efficient tool in verifying the level of a teacher’s competencies.

The article highlights one of the methods of measuring cognitive interest of the secondary schoolchildren in learning Mathematics and the results of its practical application. As a result of questioning pupils, there have been differentiated the factors influencing the interest in learning Mathematics. They are: understanding the course material, the complexity of the course material, the duration of mastering the uniform course material, the amount of the course material. It has been found out that the interest tends to spread from a teacher to a student, or from a student who displays a genuine interest to other students.
