This study aimed to identify the relationship of vocabulary size of students to their English language performance. The respondents of this study were taken from B1 Plus students of the English Language and Preparatory Year Institute, Jubail Industrial College- Royal Commission for Jubail. The study used the descriptive correlation research design to establish the relationship of the students’ vocabulary size to their performance in English. Pearson's correlation coefficient (r) was used to measure the strength of relationship between the two variables- vocabulary size and English performance. Vocabulary Level Test, adapted from Nation (1990) , was used to measure vocabulary size, and the final mark result in B1 Plus was used for the English performance of students. Based on the findings, vocabulary size has no significant relationship to listening and speaking skills of students. However, vocabulary size has a significant relationship to reading and writing, grammar, e-learning, and overall English language performance of respondents.

The COVID pandemic had made science educators realized the dearth of effective learning resources for distance education. There is a need to produce materials that promote the acquisition of science process skills in remote learning situations. This study is a phase 1 of the design and development of a science module research to address the effective acquisition of science process skills in distance education mode. The objective of this study is to determine the knowledge of science teachers on science process skills, their frequency and ease of science process skills integration as an input to the design of the learning material intended for distance education mode. An instrument adopted from the study of Miles (2010) was used to measure the science teachers’ basic science process skills. Another survey instrument was validated and used to gather the data from 64 respondents to know their integration practice in terms of frequency, challenges and ease of integration. Findings indicated that the Grade 9 science teachers did well in most science process skills except in observe and communicate. Among the science process skills, science teachers declared that making prediction is the most challenging skill to develop. There is a need to provide professional development to improve the science teachers’ efficacy and skills in promoting science process skills acquisition.

A constructive attitude towards Sustainable Development can be contemplated as the pre-requisite towards fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fabricating a well-balanced sustainable planet for us and our upcoming generations. Sustainable Development is the development that immune our various resources as well as our society, economy and environment in a suited manner. The present study was taken up to examine the attitude of trainee teachers in Purulia District of West Bengal towards Sustainable Development. Total 100 trainee teachers of Purulia district were taken as the sample through stratified random sampling for conducting the present study. A self-made Attitude scale on Sustainable Development was used to gather necessary data from the sample. The collected data were analysed by proper statistical techniques using SPSS. The basic results indicated that there were no significant differences on the attitude of male and female trainee teachers, rural and urban trainee teachers, and trainee teachers of arts and science stream respectively towards Sustainable Development. No differences were found between the attitude of rural male and urban male trainee teachers, rural female and urban female trainee teachers, rural male and rural female trainee teachers, male and female trainee teachers of Arts stream and male and female trainee teachers of Science stream. Hence, a significant difference was found between the attitude of urban male and urban female trainee teachers in this regard.

This is a cross-sectional, exploratory study that was conducted to explore how COVID-19 affected the academics of twelve (12) undergraduate education students who were enrolled in the Play Activities & Materials course at the University of the District of Columbia. An Electronic questionnaire was disseminated to each student that was enrolled in the course. The students completed the anonymous questionnaire that was composed of nine (9) questions. The students ranged in ages from eighteen (18) to forty-nine (49) years of age. The group of students consisted of Black, White and other students who did not disclosed their race. Overall, the students indicated the challenges that they encountered during COVID-19, the dedication and support of their professors, and the difficult task of focusing on their academics. In spite of these barriers, the students continue to meet their academic goals.

Blended learning is helping to improve teaching and learning, providing learners with a diverse learning environment, making information accessible regardless of time and place, and stimulating creativity in teaching methodology. Motivation is an essential factor that largely decides learners’ success in learning a language in general and English in particular. This study was conducted to (1) determine factors that affect students’ motivation to learn English in blended learning, identify student’s awareness about these factors as well as (2) identify barriers to students’ motivation to learn English when blended learning is applied so that (3) give recommendations to students, teachers, and institutions to maximize the potential of blended learning. For data collection, a survey questionnaire was sent to students of 6 different programs in National Economics University and quantitative results were analyzed with the use of Google Forms and Excel. Meanwhile, qualitative results were analyzed with reference to blended learning and motivation. Findings of the research can be divided into three main parts namely student factors, teacher factors, and institution factors. The study also points out barriers that students face when applying blended learning and gives meaningful recommendations to students, teachers, and institutions.

The impetus in the formation of teleologic-anthropomorphic explanation emanates from the stimulation of the learners’ personal culture and language. This study ascertains the correctability of teleologic and anthropomorphic language and reasoning of students to abstract ideas and concepts in human reproduction. Employing 24 prospective Elementary Grade teachers under the Explicative-Reductive Method of One Group Pretest-Posttest Research design, this study focused on the determinants of students’ affordance of teleologic-anthropomorphic reasoning to select concepts in human reproduction. It was found out that the respondents had intermittently afforded teleologic-anthropomorphic languages across ages, sexes, and ethnicity before the treatment procedures. However, their affordances were diminished after the initiated classroom interventions. The change attributed to the independent variable is accounted at .673, which implies a great margin affecting the affordances of the respondents’ anthropomorphic and teleologic language and reasoning in human reproduction by 67.30%. Moreover, the age of the respondents is found to be interacting with their ethnic affiliation. Hence, students’ anthropomorphism and teleological language and reasoning are correctable.

The advancement of technological approaches in teaching paved the way for teachers to maximize the use of multimedia inside the classroom. This transition placed a great challenge for teachers to adopt and enhance their skills in using multimedia not just for instruction but also for students’ comfort and learning. Infusing humor in the videos gives a new branding of the multimedia for instruction. This study aims to design, develop, and validate humorous instructional video materials for the least mastered competencies in mathematics using the ADDIE model. The content validity index was used in analyzing the validity of the videos and a researcher-made instrument. A descriptive research design was utilized to determine the level of acceptability of the videos. Thirty-one mathematics experts evaluated the humorous instructional video materials based on five categories: alignment to the curriculum, structure of the instructional design, appropriateness of technical design, social considerations, and appropriateness of humor. It was found that the humorous instructional video materials were highly acceptable in every category. Thereupon, the designed, developed, and validated videos are recommended to be used in teaching the least mastered competencies in mathematics, particularly in the seventh grade.
